Firefox:最新版のFirefoxをDebianにaptインストールする

Debian Mozilla team APT archive によると、sources.list に security.debian.org を加えると、Debian Mozilla team による検証の終わった最新の Firefox ESR が使える。

You need to add the following entry in /etc/apt/sources.list or a new file in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/:

 deb http://security.debian.org/ stretch/updates main

https://mozilla.debian.net/

いざ。

 $ apt-get update
 $ apt search firefox-esr
 firefox-esr/oldstable 78.10.0esr-1~deb9u1 amd64 [68.4.1esr-1~deb9u1 からアップグレード可]

やった。これで78.10.0esrがインストールできるようになった（2021/04/29現在）。

 $ apt-get install firefox-esr

ついでに、提案されたフォントと日本語化パッケージもインストール

 $ sudo apt install fonts-stix firefox-esr-l10n-ja
